Opening Reception and Silent Auction
 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Kick off the conference in a relaxed atmosphere as you participate in a silent auction and mingle with fellow delegates. The Canadian Evaluation Society Educational Fund will again host the Silent Auction during the conference Opening Reception. The auction is one of CESEF’s key fundraisers and is a great opportunity to network, enjoy a beverage and have fun bidding against your colleagues while acquiring some great auction items.
CESEF is an independent, not-for-profit organization that works to foster the evaluation profession across Canada. CESEF provides scholarships, awards, and educational opportunities to students and emerging evaluators to further their knowledge within the field of program evaluation.

Morning Exercise: Walk & Talk Hosted by Peter Stilwell
6:15 am – 7:00 am
The Halifax Health Talk and Walk program is collaborating with the CES Annual Conference! Morning group walks and talks will take place on May 28th and 29th from 6:15 - 7:00 am. The Halifax Health Talk and Walk program is a local initiative created and facilitated by two licensed physiotherapists who are currently studying medicine at Dalhousie University, and two Dalhousie graduate students; one is a MA candidate conducting health promotion and policy research and the other is a PhD candidate conducting low back pain research.

On both days, we will meet at the registration desk at the Westin Nova
Scotian where the facilitators will give a brief introduction to the program
and discuss some exercise-related myths and facts that you may find surprising.  This will be followed by a walk along the harbourfront wherewe would like to discuss novel ways we could potentially evaluate our program that currently has over 1100 members.

This is a great opportunity to learn something new about exercise, enjoy a leisurely walk along the scenic harbourfront, and share your expertise and creative ideas around program evaluation.
Atlantic Canada Kitchen Party

This fantastic night includes food, beverages, fiddles, dancers, bagpipes and a Halifamous character who will tell you about the Order of Good Time and may even invite attendees to become honorary Nova Scotians.
Thanks to our Platinum Sponsor for sponsoring the Kitchen Party and allowing us to keep the ticket price affordable.
